Liverpool Tate Gallery

In the MIS it mention the Tate gallery in London for a visit so  that we could  get a basic idea on how we could set up our degree show but I did not have the time or the money to go to London so I decided that I would go to the Tate gallery in Liverpool which had some interesting exhibitions.

The set of photos from above are all displayed in a similar way, a line of images that are the same all in black and white with a large white border and black frame. What annoyed me about this is  that the lighting got in the way of the image so I had to move around to try to get a better look of what I was seeing.

I quite liked this way of displaying the photos as it show that the photographs are a set not separate images again I was having trouble seeing the images as the lighting was in the way as you can see in the photo. With this display you eye are drawn to the center and then outwards

The set of photo and framed paragraphs give a good mix of information and images. Your eyes are not drawn to any singular part of the display, the only thing I think would improve this would be if the photos were larger, also the framed paragraphs are more to the left of the display which I did not understand why.

I quite like the idea of having a installation as the one above show a number of panels that show a sort of pattern but it wad the panels that had photographed on that interested me the most as i thought they would be a great way to display Polaroids.
