Background
The parent temple, Wat Phra Singh, is located within the ancient city walls of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand.
In late 2011 their was a request for a new temple in the Northwest England. the request was discussed at the general committee of Wat Phra Singh and later with the council of northern temple in Chiang Mai where it received unanimous support.
The temple was opened in runcornin 2012 in a local pub previusly known as the water loo pub. the temple holds medatation sessions, yoga and tai chi people are welcome to visit the temple
